Вынос атрибута класса в отдельный класс

Есть функция:

def load_workbook(filename, read_only=False, keep_vba=KEEP_VBA, data_only=False, keep_links=True):
    reader = ExcelReader(filename, read_only, keep_vba,
                            data_only, keep_links)
    reader.read()
    return reader.wb

Она отдает атрибут класса ExcelReader, который впоследствии используется как отдельный класс. Хочу вытащить этот атрибут в отдельный класс, но не могу найти способ к нему подобраться.
